Stamford Hospital is:
- Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations;
- A recipient of Joint Commission's Ernest A. Codman award for excellence in the use of outcomes measurement to achieve improvements in the quality and safety of health care in the hospital Intensive Care Unit;
- The only Hospital in Fairfield County to achieve the prestigious Magnet award of excellence for nursing;
- A member of the Planetree Alliance, a group of hospitals nationwide focusing on patient-centered care; and
- A 2007 recipient of the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System (NYPHS) Quality Symposium Award in "Recognition of Commitment to Quality Innovation." The award recognizes the achievements of the Environmental Services and Infectious Disease Departments in their joint effort over the last two years to combat the prevalence of hospital-acquired infections.
